Get to Know Me…

Old Crow, Yukon, BC

My name is Paul! I am an interdisciplinary conservation scientist and activist. I live in Old Crow, Yukon, where I am an Assistant Professor at Yukon University and the Director of Natural Resources at the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation (VGFN). Some of my research examines contaminants in the environment, including lead and plastics in wildlife. I became involved in promoting lead-free fishing and hunting equipment out of a concern for impacts to wildlife, ecosystems, and human health.

Fun Fact

I once heard that 1,000 books officially constitutes a library, and I am steadily working my way towards that number.
