Sporting Lead-Free actively spreads awareness about the use of lead-based ammunition and tackle and its effects on both human and wildlife heath.
Sporting Lead-Free continues to support our partners across the nation by developing and providing educational materials — which have been used by partners in local TV segments, in classes, at expos, during demos, while tabling, and to teach hunter safety classes.
From expos and events to demonstrations, presentations, educational supplies and classroom learning, SLF spreads awareness through multiple avenues.

Sporting Lead-Free is building a collaborative community that includes individual hunters and anglers, hunting and fishing groups, organizations, retailers, and state agencies.
From Conservation Partners to Ambassadors, members, and state & local agencies, our network of lead-free supporters is vast and knowledgeable. We support our community with the best information out there.

FACILITATING ACCESS
We are making lead-free sporting accessible by providing a database of information on how-to-switch, why to switch, and available alternatives.
In addition to offering a library of information, we also collaborate with agencies to provide lead-free tackle packs for youth fishing programs across the nation.
Sporting Lead-Free scans donated game meat for lead fragments. We provide science-based information to those in need by letting them know what’s inside of their meat — so they can access the cleanest protein available to feed their families.
