Amanda Andreas

Get to Know Me…

Florence, MT

My name is Amanda! I grew up on a farm in rural Pennsylvania where my family taught me to hunt and fish, grow food, and appreciate the land. It is there where I developed a love for the outdoors and a deep desire to be connected to nature. I am an environmental health scientist studying heavy metal toxicity in the environment, and I'm passionate about educating people about the impacts of lead in the environment and advocating for the protection of our wild lands and creatures. For me, hunting and fishing with non-lead ammo and tackle is paramount. Montana is where I call home now, and you can find me hunting elk in the back country, ice fishing on my favorite lakes, picking huckleberries, or barefoot in the garden tending to the earth.

Favorite Caliber

.30-06 or .50 cal flintlock muzzleloader

Fun Fact

My .50 cal flintlock muzzleloader is my favorite gun. I learned to SCUBA dive in Alaska, I love to spearfish, and I used to be a falconer!
