Get to Know Me…

My name is Sydney! I've lived in Montana for almost 12 years now, after living in several states growing up. I consider Montana home, now, and live here with my fiancé, three dogs, and one horse. We got engaged in December 2025 while duck hunting, one of our favorite things to do together. I also enjoy hunting whitetail deer and floating the river with my dad, who was a fly-fishing guide for a large part of my childhood.

Fun Fact
I'm an adult-onset hunter- I started hunting around 10 years ago and was able to harvest my first deer in 2019. Since then, I have had the privilege to hunt and harvest multiple whitetail deer, upland birds, waterfowl, and elk. My interest in hunting re-ignited my dad's interest, and I've loved hunting with him the past few years. I was also able to help my fiancé harvest his first deer this past hunting season, which was an awesome experience. I was a Montana Game Warden for 5 years, so my passion for hunting and education is largely based on those experiences. I currently serve as a volunteer Montana Hunter Education Instructor, and also recently became a First Hunt Foundation mentor. Montana has been such a special place, and I'm passionate about ensuring that our hunting traditions continue and that, as hunters, we do our part to ensure wildlife and natural places are conserved and protected.
